Our fishmeal machinery -
best choice for you!

Fishmeal and oil are obtained by processing trash fish (small or bony fish not readily marketable) or waste fish parts. Shrimp, krill, and other seafood may also be used as raw material. The process involves chopping the material to form a mass, cooking, pressing to remove oil and water, drying, and grinding to meal. The oil-water liquids are passed through a separator to recover the oil.
Now we have manufactured more than 300 plants and are running our own fish meal factories and fish oil refineries. So many experiences made us a capable manufacturer to supply the product according to the customers’ demands and complete service.
Below is the flow diagram of mass balance we get from the by product of Navodon septentrionalis. The actual figures will, of course, vary with the composition of the raw material, particularly with the oil content. To the same species, the fishing seasons and place will also make the mass balance different.

Operation fishmeal and fish oil machinery:

A compact unit intended for the production of fishmeal and fish oil from fish waste and less valuable breeds of fish and krill for stationary or shipboard installation.
The fish or other product to be processed is dumped in a RAW MATERIAL BIN (1).
At this stage a ELECTROMAGNET (2) removes any metallic debris before the mass is moved to RAW MATERIAL GRINDER (3).
An elevating screw lifts the mash into a COOKER (4). The cooker is heated by steam at a temperature from 50oC to 100oC. From the COOKER the mash moves to a PRESS (5) which removes water in the form of a liquor and leaves the mash with a moisture content 45%-50%.
The liquor is sent by BOUILLON PUMP (10) to the DECANTER (11) and from it move on TANKS FOR OIL SEPARATOR (12) after to OIL SEPARATOR (13).
The mass after the PRESS moves to a DRYER (6).
The mass comes out with a moisture content of 10-12%.
After a DRYER (6) the mass moves into a FISH MEAL GRINDER (7).
From this the dried meal passes through COOLED SCREW CONVEYORS (8).
Cold water moves by the COOLING PUMP (9) in COOLED SCREW CONVEYORS (8) for cooling a fishmeal.
Meanwhile the raw liquor, heated by steam at a temperature of 85oC-95oC is passed through an oil separator (12).
After a COOLED SCREW CONVEYORS (8) fishmeal moves to FISH MEAL BIN (14).
Fishmeal from FISH MEAL BIN (14) moves to WEITING DEVICE AND PACING (15).
The hot air from a DRYER (6) can get directly in an atmosphere or in DEODORIZER SYSTEM (16).
The bouillon after OIL SEPARATOR (13) can get directly to EVAPORATION SYSTEM (17).
ELECTRO SWITCH BOARD (18) operates all processes on fishmeal unit.
The mass and fishmeal moves between components with the help CONVEYORS (19).

The desirable factors are a high percentage of digestible proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, minerals (trace elements) and vitamins. These factors do not vary significantly between various samples and preparation methods.
The major use of fishmeal is as a dietary supplement for farmed fish, poultry, ruminants, pigs, and fur-bearing animals, providing proteins not supplied in plant derived feeds. Fishmeal comprises from 2% to 10% of the feed depending on application and need. Beneficial effects include up to a 15% improvement in feed conversion, 4% improvement in growth, and 4% increase in egg production in laying hens. Polyunsaturated fats stimulate antibody production against diseases such as bacterial (E.coli) sepsis and reduce the need for drug treatment. Fatty acids increase production of progesterone improving reproductive performance. Vitamins A,D,E, and B complex improve health. Minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iodine and selenium needed for growth are present and are not abundant in plant derived feeds.
Fish oil is used in foods such as cereals and margarine, lubricants, soap and shampoo, for leather dressing, paints, pharmaceuticals, etc.
